Common Questions

The finder scores nine weighted criteria: weight, length, diameter, grip rating, per-zone grip texture (the largest weight), barrel shape, balance point, nose shape and material. Brand and tip system are hard filters applied before scoring. Criteria you skip are excluded from the denominator, so skipping never penalises a dart. Any shortfall against something you explicitly asked for (including a spec we can't verify) caps the dart below the 85% "Great" band, and the shown percentage is confidence-adjusted for data completeness.
No. The scoring algorithm has zero commercial inputs. Every dart in the database competes on the same criteria. Affiliate links are attached to results after scoring and have no effect on ranking.
The database covers every major steel-tip brand and is updated continuously. Some newer releases or regional exclusives may not yet be included. Use the contact form to suggest missing models and we'll prioritise them.
We never invent a value: a missing spec stays null. If you didn't ask about that spec, it has no effect. If you did, the dart earns no points for it, its confidence coefficient drops, and it can't reach the "Great" band for that search: unverifiable is treated as uncertainty, not as a match. Darts you didn't constrain are unaffected.
